I must have missed some folder, because I get "MP3 Encoder Missing" every time. Click OK, load some wav files into RazorLames main window (dont forget you can drag and drop), and click Encode. You can use EAC to rip and RazorLame to encode, although EAC can be set up to rip/encode in one. RazorLame is a LAME frontend for Windows, however it doesn't rip CDs. I copied and renamed the dll to lame_enc.dll and lame_enc64.dll and put both versions in every possible location. I agree with Ice Cold, Xing MP3 encoder is very good. LAME Frontends- LAME is a free MP3 encoder which is generally considered to give the highest quality results for Variable Bit Rate encodings at a given bit-rate. Unfortunately, it is a command line utility, and that is where RazorLame comes in: It provides an easy-to-use graphical. LAME is a great MP3-Encoder: it's very fast, it produces high-quality files, has many advanced features (like Variable Bitrates and Joint-Stereo), and it's open source. RazorLame NEW VERSION 1.1.5a NO LONGER DEVELOPED RazorLame is a so-called 'front-end' for use with LAME. I searched the Reaper forums for the topic and there are dozens with the same problem, but I didn't see any answers, except one - forget Lame and use WAV and then an external app. RazorLame is a so-called 'front-end' for use with LAME.

(Incidentally, there's a Reaper download link for Lame in the error message and it's broken.) The error message says it should be called lame-enc64.dll and go in AppData>Roaming>Reaper>UserPlugins. The docs (and the Reaper Power book) say it should go in the Program Files > Reaper folder.

I went on a hunt for lame_enc.dll and eventually found a 64-bit version, although inside the zip it's still called lame_enc, not lame_enc64. I've been trying out the downloaded Sample files (they really should tell you to merge the two folders if you want all the tracks) and everything worked fine except saving as an MP3. Although I've used other DAWs for a while, I thought I'd buy the latest Reaper (v4.32 64-bit) because it seems to have every feature and the company is great to deal with.
